PTR Precision Technologies hired us to create a video to be used as an educational tool for electron beam welding; an effective, but not commonly known welding technique.
This project was a blast seeing the machines in action, and learning about all the technical information that goes along with it.
Because of the complexity of how Electron Beam Welders operate, we thought it best to illustrate it using motion graphics and 3D rendering.
We obtained the Solidworks CAD files for the machine from PTR, and then textured them to mimic how they look in real life. Additional 3D modeling was provided display how certain components may be welded using this technique.
